Join us for a special podcast-taping at the Toronto Plant Market with local GTA garden aficionado Tina Cesaroni! 

Tina Cesaroni is an avid gardener and host of The Garden Shift podcast (@the_garden_shift). She will be interviewing Jonas Spring (@ecoman_jonas) for a special episode with our greenhouse staff. Tina and Jonas share a history and expertise of advocating and practicing ecologically-focused gardening. 

Tina believes that creating more naturalized garden spaces is part of our responsibility towards restoring biodiversity to help prepare us for climate change. Jonas and Tina share a particular focus on working with native plants in urban garden settings.

This recording will be free and open to the public.

We are hoping it will be a welcoming space for seasoned gardeners and curious newcomers. Guests will enjoy non-alcoholic botanical beverages, light snacks, and the opportunity to connect with others interested in plants, ecology, and local sustainability efforts.

• Arrival and snacks: Join us at 5:00 for some snacks and drinks

• Podcast recording: Tina will interview the Toronto Plant Market Greenhouse staff from 5:30 onwards, and share a bit about her own journey with native plant gardening!

• Talking native plants with TPM staff: After the recording around 6:15-6:30, Parker, Julia and Jonas would love to answer your questions about climate-focused landscaping, creating garden spaces designed to support native plants and pollinators, and helping identify which native plants will grow in the conditions of your growing spaces (yes, even under your Norway Maple).

• Community Building: An informal mixer setting where guests can mingle, share stories, and get inspired! Chat with Tina about her journey into ecological gardening and meet other like-minded folks
• Raffle: Tina has generously donated two gift cards valued at $50 each at the plant market for a raffle! We will have raffle tickets available by donation to one of our collaborators, Gwai-yuk Gih'nendahmoen (@gwaiyukgihnendahmoen)
