The Foundry Sings: From Roots to Rock!
About this Event
The Miners Foundry Cultural Center is pleased to present the Foundry Sings: ‘From Roots To Rock!’, on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Doors open at 5:30 pm, and singing begins at 6 pm.
Join friends, family, and neighbors as we come together through a shared love of singing. The historic Stone Hall will fill with voices as the audience sings classic favorites from Broadway and the big screen!
Music Director Rod Baggett, with vocal assistance from Robbie Merchant and Heather Grove and accompaniment from Jonathan Meredith and Tim Yamauchi, will lead the audience through an exciting selection of beloved songs.
Join us for a special Foundry Sings celebrating the musical journey from folk to country and blues to rock. This eclectic selection of songs will explore the connections between these beloved American music traditions, highlighting the sounds, stories, and influences that shaped each genre along the way. Come sing along as we journey through folk, country, blues, and rock—all brought together for one unforgettable night of music and community.
No auditions, rehearsals, or singing experience are required. Foundry Sings welcomes people of all ages and singing levels to lift their voices, revisit familiar favorites, and experience the joy of singing together.
The Foundry Sings is inspired by the popular Choir! Choir! Choir!, a Toronto-based drop-in singing event that has welcomed musicians including Patti Smith, David Byrne, and Rufus Wainwright and has grown to major events around the world with participants numbering in the 1000’s!
