About this Event

Context

On a global scale, Americans are among the largest waste producers - especially when it comes to food (source). And in the U.S., one-third of all food goes uneaten, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) (source). Although food waste isn't a common conversation topic in the culture, we can change that.

You're Invited

THE FOOD is a tactile workshop on food waste. Starting with in-person conversations, this community workshop is designed to help break down the macro subject of food waste into several micro lessons that are readily accessible and physically shareable. As an attendee, you’ll be guided on how to create and share waste reduction solutions through food and plant-based demos that can be incorporated into your daily lifestyle. At it's conclusion, you'll leave with a better understanding of how we can address a major climate change issue while helping preserve our shared natural environment.

THE FOOD is part 1 of a 4-part workshop series.
