Let go of perfection and have fun using found objects to make a wonderful variety of monoprints using a gel plate and acrylic paint.

Instructor Jennifer Wilkin Penick will walk you through making original patterned papers as well as charming still lifes. You will leave the workshop with a series of colorful original works of art, with your favorite one matted and ready for framing.

About the Instructor:

Jennifer studied studio art as an undergraduate student and earned an MA in (Italian) Art History. Her artwork has been exhibited in Rome, Italy; Portland, Oregon; Arlington, Virginia; and Washington, DC. In addition to being a practicing artist, she teaches at the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington and has been a Visual-Artist-in-Residence with MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's Arts & Humanities Program since 2018.
