About this Event
Join us for a morning of connections, coffee, and great conversations, plus speakers that will deliver the quick wins in mindset, strategy & business tools. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting out, this event is the perfect opportunity to meet new people and expand your circle.
This month we will be joined by guest speaker, Karen Stanley, from Mabel & Stanley Publishing who will be talking on 'The Business Book Advantage: Turning Expertise into Visibility, Credibility and Clients '.
Karen Stanley is a 14-times published, bestselling author, writing mentor and founder of Mabel and Stanley Publishing, a hybrid publisher specialising in helping business owners and first-time authors write and publish high-quality books.
With over 20 years’ experience teaching writing (both as a teacher and assistant headteacher), Karen works hands-on with her authors from concept to publication, combining strong editorial standards with practical publishing expertise. Since 2021, she has mentored and published over 70 new authors, including 21 bestsellers.
Karen works with clients internationally, including across the UK, Ireland, Scotland, the USA and Saudi Arabia, and her expertise in writing, publishing and book-led authority has been featured in publications nationwide and internationally.
In 2025, she was a Kent Women in Business Award winner in recognition of the rapid growth and reputation of Mabel and Stanley Publishing.
Karen is known for her clear, rigorous approach to writing and publishing, helping authors move from idea to professionally published book with purpose and credibility.
During the talk, Karen will discuss:
• Why a business book still outperforms short-term marketing when it comes to building trust, credibility and long-term visibility
• How to define the real job of your book before you write it, so it supports client attraction, authority and positioning rather than becoming an expensive vanity project
• What makes a business book work as a lead-generation asset, including how it shortens the sales cycle and pre-qualifies potential clients
• The common mistakes business owners make when writing books for visibility - how to avoid undermining credibility through poor structure, unclear messaging or rushed publishing.
• How to think beyond launch week, using your book as an ongoing tool for conversations, content, partnerships and opportunities long after publication
Don’t miss out on this chance to connect with others in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We look forward to seeing you there.
