Join Professor of Narrative Ecology Arran Stibbe and poet David Clarke for a rich conversation on the poetic traditions of East Asia. Together, they will explore how the translation and reception of classical Chinese and Japanese poetry have shaped the forms and themes of British and American verse.
Drawing on examples from renowned poets as well as their own work, Arran and David will reveal how these timeless poems invite Western readers to cultivate new ecocritical and spiritual understandings of the world around them.
