Athens Community Theatre's "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" is directed by Melonie Carideo. Leading the cast is ACT newcomer Kieryn Mecherle as Beth Bradley. She is joined by ACT regulars Brittany Duggan and Jimmy Jacobs as Beth’s parents, Grace and Bob Bradley; James Offutt as Charlie Bradley; Devin Arnwine as Alice; and Holland Borwick as Maxine.
Playing the notorious Herdmans are ACT newcomers Harper Rutland as Imogene, Jack Reynolds as Ralph, Simeon Smith as Ollie, with returning ACT performers Amelia Lauterbach as Gladys, Tyler Jacobs as Leroy, and Rev Alexander as Claude.
Joining them are newcomers Matthieu Riojas as Elmer, John David Harrison as Hobie, Allyson Kirkland as Mrs. Armstrong, Ellie Shales as Mrs. Slocum, Joyce Wright as Mrs. Clark, Kimberly Rolen as Mrs. McCarthy, Brant Helms as Mr. McCarthy and Fireman, Thomas Harris as Mr. Armstrong and Fireman, and Jody Harrison as the Reverend Hopkins.
Returning to ACT after recent debuts are Cashton McConkey as Mr. Slocum and Fireman and Debbie Allmon as Mrs. Clausing and our resident pianist.
No cast of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever would be complete without a group of Angels, and ACT is pleased to have two!
The Angel Chorus includes newcomers Adalyn Brogden, Eva-Kate Ratti, Josefina Amick, Morgan Shamblin, Rachel Shales, Sloane Shepherd, and Taylor Kimball, with ACT veterans Ella Jacobs, Mollie Roderick, Wren Alexander, and Zoe Randolph.
The “Tiny Angels” are all making their ACT debut! They are Audrey Ambrosetti, Layna Delph, Lydia McGraw, Maisie Donegan, Micah Hurst, Scarlett Duggan, and Theodore Nelson.
Production is supported by stage manager Christen Webb, with Selah Smith, Emily Offutt, Joyce Wright, Rachel Shales as Kid Wranglers and Costumers.
In The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Barbara Robinson’s misfit Herdmans crash the church pageant and end up teaching the true meaning of Christmas.
