Handbuilding Pottery with Patricia Shook is open to ages 16 and older. The class that meets Tuesdays, December 3 - January 14, 1:00 to 3:30 PM. There will be no class on Tuesday December 24.
Students will learn the basics of handbuilding with clay. This six-week course will include techniques such as pinch pots, slab rolling, coil pots, and using patterns for the form. Students will also learn learn decoration methods using texture tools and stencils. All finished pieces will then be glazed and fired. This class is suitable for both beginners who have never worked with clay and those with some experience who want to expand their skills. Handbuilding Pottery is $175 and includes all materials.
