Your local American Heritage Girls troop would like to invite the community of Athens, Tn to come together and join us in honoring our service members with Wreaths Across America. Our local ceremony will be a laying of Christmas wreaths on the memorial stones for each branch of service at Veterans Memorial Park just outside of downtown Athens, to honor our veterans during the holiday season and thank them for our freedoms. Our ceremony will take place at 12 noon, the same time that the wreath laying ceremony will be happening at Arlington Cemetery. We would love for the community to come out and help us honor those who have paid the ultimate price to give us our freedoms.
