The Art of Knowing - Where Art Meets Awareness
About this Event
Join us for an immersive breast health experience created to center and engage Black and Brown women through art, conversation, and direct connection to trusted resources.
Four Dimensions. One Collaborative Canvas. One Next Step.
Move through an interactive, gallery-style experience exploring four dimensions of breast health: Body, Risk, Biology, and Options. At each step, participants will contribute to a collaborative art piece while engaging in brief, plain-language conversations about breast self-awareness and early detection, individual risk, cancer biology and biomarkers, self-advocacy, and clinical trials.
No lectures. No traditional health fair.
Instead, the evening is designed to feel like a gathering while creating a meaningful health literacy journey; one where you can ask questions, connect with others, learn about trusted resources, and identify a next step that feels right for you.
Participants will leave with practical breast health information, educational and navigation resources, information about mammography scheduling, and greater awareness of the questions and options that can support informed healthcare decisions.
• Appetizers and refreshments will be served
• Take-home educational resources will be available
