Consult DCASE

Join us for our monthly in-person office hours with DCASE staff!

Each Consult DCASE session will include different team members from the department who will answer questions about programs, resources, services, and more. Join the Chicago Film Office, Cultural Grants, Special Event Permits, Public Art, Exhibitions or Cultural Resources to learn how to access the department’s resources, get input, and explore opportunities related to your work and ideas.

Consult DCASE will be divided into two parts, with the first part being for people who are seeking 1:1 guidance and the second part will be a more open discussion with all who want to meet with each team.

One-on- One Conversation | 11:30 am – 12:05 pm

• Limited spots will be available for three attendees to have 10-minute one-on-one sessions with one of the available teams, at 11:35-11:45, 11:45-11:55, or 11:55-12:05.
• Reserve a ticket for the team you want to connect with.
• On the day of the event, you will need to arrive by 11:15 am to sign up for one of the 3 available slots, these will be first come-first serve slots

Group Conversation | 12:15 pm – 1:00 pm

• For this second part of the session, all who sign up to attend, can participate in the conversation with each team. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss them in a collaborative setting.

All participants should reserve a ticket to select which team they want to connect with.

Reservations are required to join, but do not guarantee placement in the one-on-one sessions.

In October, these teams will be available to meet with:

• Chicago Film Office: Connect with the film office to learn about filming permits, film events/partnerships, or get general advice on your film project.
• Creative Worker Rights: Learn more about your rights as a creative worker and connect with resources from our Art is Labor campaign. Visit the website to learn more.
• Cultural Resources: Meet with DCASE’s cultural resources navigators to explore what opportunities may exist within DCASE for you.

When selecting your ticket, you must select ONE team to meet with. No double booking is allowed.
