THCM Touch A Truck at The Mill

The Mill, in collaboration with Terre Haute Children’s Museum, invites families and curious minds of all ages to the 5th annual Touch A Truck event on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. This family-friendly event offers little ones the chance to climb up into the driver’s seat of trucks, emergency vehicles, and construction vehicles that keep our community moving.
The first hour of Touch A Truck, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., will be sensory friendly with no horns or sirens for those children and families that might enjoy a quieter experience.
Vehicles that will be on display include police and fire apparatus, a garbage truck, a crane, a boom truck, construction equipment and so much more. The THCM team will be on hand helping children build their very own vehicle out of cardboard, too. And don’t worry, if those little ones work up a hunger during their day of play, we will have food trucks on site for a quick refuel stop!
Tickets for all the fun are available online now at thchildrensmuseum.com/events or via cash at the gate. Admission is $5 per person for those over the age of 2-years-old. The Mill is located at 2403 Prairieton Road, Terre Haute, IN 47802. Please use the main entrance, located off Prairieton Road, to enter the event.
