Our annual Thanksgiving Holiday Sleepover is back!Bring a shelter pup, of your choice, home for an extended weekend, give them love and comfort, and make their holiday unforgettable.
🐶 Shelter Dog Sleepover Pickups:
Tuesday, 11/25 - 11:00am - 6:00pm
Wednesday, 11/26 - 11:00am - 6:00pm

Sunday, 11/30 - 9:00am - 4:00pm

💗 Fall in Love with your houseguest?
Congratulations! If your holiday guest becomes family, we are waiving your adoption fee. You can adopt your new best friend for the cost of a Franklin County Dog License ($18).
➤ A few Sleepover tips to help you navigate this exciting day!
→ This is a first come, first served event. No appointments are needed. No experience is required.
→ Have a dog in mind? Arrive early for the best chance to meet them. If they're already out on a sleepover don’t worry, our experienced matchmakers will help you find the perfect fit for your home.
→ Everyone is welcome! You do NOT have to be a resident of Franklin County to participate. (Ages 18+)
→ We’ll send you home with everything you need to care for your Holiday houseguest: food, a leash, collar, toys, and care supplies.
→ Have other pets or kids at home?
No problem! Our team will help you find a great match for your household and answer any questions along the way.
→ Do your homework: Browse available dogs ahead of time at dogadoptions.franklincountyohio.gov.
*** Dogs come off the site once they’re adopted or leave for sleepovers.
→ Having a list of dogs that you are excited to meet will help expedite the check in process.
→ Please expect longer wait times and be patient with our team as we work with each family to find the best possible match.
⚠️ For everyone's safety and comfort, personal pets are not permitted inside the shelter.
If you’d like to do a dog-to-dog meet-and-greet, please bring a friend or family member to remain outside or in the vehicle with your dog.
