Santa Claus is coming to the dog shelter on Saturday, Nov. 22. Plan to kick off the holidays and help the shelter dogs by attending the Howliday Bazaar Saturday, 11/22, at the Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center. The Howliday Bazaar will put you in the holiday spirit AND give you the great feeling of knowing you’re helping us save the sick and injured shelter dogs. You’ll find so many fun things to do at the bazaar:
Bring your pups for a photo with Santa Claus or a great winter scene. The photography is donated by the talented Muschlitz Photography. Sign-up online to reserve your spot or we’ll have some space for walk-ins throughout the day. We’ll fit you in as best as we can! You can get one scene for $30 donation or both for $40. Kick off your holiday shopping! At the bazaar, you’ll find lots of holiday items to start your shopping, including:
--Holiday decorations—including dog-themed ornaments to trim your Christmas tree
--Holiday dog toys to stuff your dog’s stocking
--New items like candles and pictures perfect for gift giving
--Incredible handmade craft items
Do you miss the Friends of the Shelter Shop? We’ll have lots of items that we used to have at the shop—dog toys, dog beds, etc. Finish your dog’s holiday shopping and help us save the sick & injured shelter dogs.
Our volunteers are baking lots of yummy treats for both humans and pups! Our baked sale will have homemade dog treats, as well as cookies and mini loaves of bread for the humans, too. Get yourself and our pups a snack. If you’d like to help, you can drop off baked goods at the shelter on Friday, 11/21 in the Community Room.
Silent auctions will also be available with some incredibly generous donations—all of these would make incredible gifts for your friends, family or you! Check back for more information on the auctions!
