Texty Tuesdays

Join us for the next three sessions of Texty Tuesdays at Artspace!

Each Texty Tuesday session includes interactive writing exercises, group discussions, drawing, and other forms of artistic expression. It's also a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow wordsmiths, share ideas, and feel inspired.

Don't worry if you're new to writing or if you're a seasoned pro - everyone is welcome. We believe that everyone has a story to tell, and this event is all about celebrating the power of words.

Texty Tuesdays are free to participate, however registration is required!

So mark your calendars for Texty Tuesdays at Artspace. It's going to be a fun-filled evening of literary delights.

September 17th, 6pm-8:30pm: Expressive Response to From the Ground Up: Artists in Practice for 50 Years or More

Participants will create work in response to the feelings and thoughts evoked in witnessing the artwork. Join us for this “skin in the game” workshop and move beyond passive viewing.

October 22nd, 6pm-8:30pm: Aging

We will produce text based artwork exploring aging, and inspired by From the Ground Up.

November 12th, 6pm-8:30pm: Text and Materiality

Together participants will exploring how the viewer or reader co-creates meaning with the artist.

All sessions run from 6-8:30pm and are FREE to attend

Accessibility

• Gallery entrance and bathroom are wheelchair accessible
• All workshop tables will be set up to accommodate mobility aids.

COVID-19

• Masks are welcome and respected, volunteers and instructors will gladly wear their masks if and when needed, except while eating or drinking.
• Maker Space and Gallery equipped with a Hepa filter
• Hand sanitizer provided.
