About this Event

About the class:

Create a variety of useful and decorative items and experience the joy of hand-building with clay. Students are encouraged to develop and enhance their own style and creativity. From a technical and artistic perspective, we will develop a variety of techniques and methods of painting and decorating.

Classes will include easy step-by-step instructions and demonstrations of hand-building and glazing.

Age: 18+

Dates: Thursdays, 30 July - 17 September (8 weeks), 6:30pm - 9:00pm (8 weeks)

Cost: *Please note that prices have been updated according to the Canterbury Bankstown Fees & Charges for the 2026/2027 Financial Year*

$300 General Admission + Booking fee

$225 Senior Concession + Booking fee

$270 Tertiary Students + Booking fee

Note: This class has a maximum capacity of 12 students and requires a minimum of 6 students to run.

After hours access: Bankstown Arts Centre closes to the public at 4pm. To access the classroom after hours, please enter through the back gate via the Olympic Parade car park.

Bankstown Arts Centre regularly reproduces photographs/video footage of people in its publications, promotional, marketing material and on its website, in order to promote the organisation or for educational purposes.

Bankstown Arts Centre would like to be able to use and reproduce one or more photographs/video footage of you, or taken by you, for this purpose and is seeking your consent to do so. A photo consent form will be either emailed to you or be given to you in person. Please contact us on 9707 5400 if you do no wish to have your child's image used for promotional purposes at Bankstown Arts Centre.

Cancellation Policy:

Bankstown Arts Centre cannot accept responsibility for changes to students’ personal circumstances that prevent attendance. Fees are non-refundable and there are no transfers or refunds if you miss a class.

Fees are kept to a minimum and cover tuition, the use of equipment during classes and where included, the cost of tutor fees and/ or basic materials. Fees and charges may increase per financial year. For more information on fees, refer to Canterbury-Bankstown Fees and Charges document
