This Restorative Yoga Training is suitable for teachers, healthcare professionals, therapists, Reiki practitioners and interested students alike.
Restorative yoga is a deeply healing, passive practice where participants are supported by props (e.g., bolsters, blankets) to elicit the parasympathetic nervous system’s relaxation response.
Learn to create deeply nourishing, mindfully led spaces using props, pacing, and mindful language to support healing and rest. You will learn how to confidently sequence and guide Restorative Yoga, teaching students how to use props to induce deep relaxation and nervous system balance. This course covers the benefits, theory, and practice of Restorative Yoga, including how to adapt poses for different needs and create a safe, healing space for students. Key skills taught include proper prop usage, understanding the physiology of relaxation, and integrating breathing and meditation techniques into the practice.
There will also be a section on adding healing elements such as essential oils, sound, hot stones etc.
