Tasting Class: Italian Wines from Sardinia and Sicily

The islands of Sicily and Sardinia are renowned for their robust viticultural heritage and unique grape varieties. Both islands offer wines that are as diverse as their stunning terrains and historical influences.

Sicily is known for its powerful and aromatic Nero d'Avola. The volcanic soils of Mount Etna contribute to the unique mineral and complex profile of wines like Etna Bianco & Etna Rosso.

Sardinia offers a distinct palette with its flagship Vermentino, delivering crisp, aromatic whites that capture the breezy, Mediterranean climate. It is also home to Cannonau, known locally as Grenache, which produces deeply colored, intense wines that are perfect with hearty local cuisine.
