In this lecture Dr Gray will explore the inner thoughts of a generation who lived through one of the most critical periods in British history.

Dr Todd Gray is Honorary Research Fellow at Exeter University and the author of a wide range of books on the history of Devon, including Devon’s Home Front Writers, 1937-1945, published in 2025 and available to purchase from the Museum shop.
