Dada blew up the rulebook. In this session, we will look at the wild and rebellious art born out of the First World War which coalesced under the heading of ‘Dada’. Bringing in new themes and approaches, artists associated with this loosely drawn movement challenged not only art as it had been known but also its broader role within society. Chaotic and provocative, Dada still echoes through culture today, over a hundred years later.

Studio Kind is situated at the far end of and within Barnstaple Pannier Market. During out of hours, the market can be accessed by a small wooden door from Butchers Row.

Nearest Car parks are the Cattle Market car park or Barnstaple Central. There is disabled parking on Boutport Street.

The bus station is a 5-minute walk away and the train station a 15-minute walk or bus journey of 10 minutes.

Our venue is wheelchair friendly and accessible to all. There are accessible toilets right next door.
