This campaign began after Rebecca was attacked while running at Boulevard Lake. She was wearing a purple hat that caught someone’s attention, causing them to stop and help. That hat may have saved her life.
Today, it represents something much bigger.
A community choosing not to look away.
No woman should feel unsafe walking or running in our city. No survivor should have to face violence alone.
Join us on August 23 as we walk together, support survivors, take part in self defence presentations, and show that safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Every purple hat sold supports survivors of violence in our community through donations to Thunder Bay and Area Victim Services and Beendigen.
