It is based on the concepts of yin and yang, the dynamic balancing of opposites, and the rhythms of the natural world. Tai chi is a mind-body practice originally developed as a martial art, and now widely practiced for its many health and wellness benefits.
Kathryn Demers is a certified tai chi and qi gong instructor. She has studied tai chi and qi gong with Master Fang Chih-Lee for several years. She teaches Yang style, with the focus on enhancing health and wellness through the mind-body connection. With a diverse background in education, movement-based learning and energy modalities, Kathryn enjoys teaching the art and science of tai chi. She offers classes at several locations in the area.
