Call for Artists: Poets & Painters 2026
The Art Complex Museum invites artists to participate in Poets & Painters 2026, a unique collaborative exhibition that pairs visual art with original poetry created by members of the Duxbury Poetry Circle.
Inspired by the museum's annual Painters & Poets event—where poets respond to artwork—this exhibition reverses the process. Participating artists will create an original piece inspired by a pre-selected poem provided by the Duxbury Poetry Circle, resulting in an engaging dialogue between written and visual expression.
How It Works
- Each artist will receive a pre-packaged bag containing a poem and a 10" × 10" canvas.
- Artwork must be inspired by the poem included in the bag.
- All work must be created on, or securely affixed to, the provided canvas and finished at 10" × 10".
- Accepted media include painting, photography, mixed media, embroidery, mosaics, fiber arts, and other two-dimensional formats.

Registration
Participation is limited to 44 artists and spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
