Sylvan Island Guided Walk & Pop-Up Plant Sale

Presenting a great opportunity to explore and learn about one of our local ecological gems AND grab some native plants for your garden! Join us Saturday morning for a guided walk and pop-up native plant sale.
For the walk: Meet near the Sylvan Island Gateway Park parking lot, and local environmental expert Rob Liva from Hibiscus Ecological Services will guide the group to sites featuring examples of native plants and recent ecological restoration projects, answering questions and sharing interesting facts along the way. The walk starts at 10 am and is expected to be an hour or less.
The plant sale will take place from 9-11 am, in the Gateway Park. Native plants will be provided by Perennial Crops Nursery, Rock Island Soil & Water Conservation District, and Normandy Natives.
Join us for one or both of these events - all are welcome. Hope to see you there!
