About this Event
Join us for a docent-guided tour of the Deere family homes, beginning with the 1872 Deere-Wiman house and followed by the 1892 Butterworth Center, once home of Katherine and William Butterworth. Visitors will enjoy viewing the stunning architecture, original furnishings, and learn about the family who lived here.
Tour begins at the west side porte cochere door of Deere-Wiman House, 817 11th Ave (the yellow house), before continuing diagonally across the street to the Butterworth Center, 1105 8th St (the gray house).
Both homes are architecturally significant with many original details and artifacts.
The tour takes about 1 1/2 hours.
Tours for groups of 11 or more are by appointment on weekdays. Tour group companies, no matter the size, are also by appointment on weekdays. Contact [email protected] or 309-743-2701 to schedule a tour.
