Sydney | Cool Kids - Family Program for Children's Anxiety

The group is facilitated by a number of provisionally registered Psychology students, under the supervision of a Senior Registered Psychologist. Please note that this program is only offered at Sydney Campus.

The program will run for 8 weeks on Tuesdays from 4pm - 5:30pm from June 23 - August 11. At least one parent/caregiver must attend.

The program covers:

• What is anxiety and what causes it?
• How to recognise anxiety and what is happening when anxiety is present.
• Learning and practicing skills to face anxiety in everyday life.
• Managing emotions connected with anxiety.
• Building a range of coping strategies.

Once your attendance on the course is confirmed you will be asked to purchase a program manual. This will cost $50. Please do not purchase until advised.

Prospective participants may be asked to undergo a brief eligibility screening to ensure that the group aligns with their current needs and goals.

In addition to the group sessions, we offer free individual counselling for both adults and children. This additional support is available for those interested in one-on-one sessions to complement their group experience.
