Join Austin (Ace On Earth), Andrea and Neil (Power and Grace Yoga) for an evening of conscious movement and community connection at Sva Ha Studio The Pulse! In its most basic definition ecstatic dance is a free-form dance movement inspired and led by carefully crafted music with the intention of creating a healing journey. The music follows a wave form, starting slow, moving to a peak, and descending into stillness. No dance experience or partner is necessary or needed.
Ecstatic dance is an inner/outer journey, an authentic moving meditation where presence and ecstasy can be experienced. It creates a direct body-mind-spirit connection, allowing our body and inner guide to be our own teachers. It’s about being fully present, transparent and real with oneself and others, discovering our own true dance, using this movement and energetic experience to release stuck patterns in our bodies, emotions and mind and being able to move beyond separation and experience true union. We’ll do this with the intention stay rooted and rhythmic.
Before we transition to the dance we’ll begin with a sva ha kundalini practice to root us in and light us up. We’ll close our session with a yoga nidra (guided meditation yogic nap) to alchemize and rejuvenate.
Ecstatic Dance is traditionally offered with 3 Simple Guidelines
1. We Dance without shoes.
This allows us to connect more fully with the earth.
2. We Dance without words
This makes it easier to get out of our heads and into a flow state.
3. We Dance as We Are
No Alcohol, No Phones, No Expectations, No Judgements, Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
