This group offers a supportive space for individuals impacted by the events of 10/25/2023 to explore survivor’s guilt, healing, grief, and the challenges of moving forward after trauma. The group is open not only to those who were physically present, but also to anyone deeply affected by the events and their aftermath — including family members, loved ones, witnesses, helpers, community members, and others carrying emotional impacts that can be difficult to explain.
Survivor’s guilt can show up in many different ways. Some people may find themselves thinking:
- “If I laugh or enjoy life, I’m betraying people we lost”
- “I keep replaying what I could have done differently”
- “Other people had it worse than me”
- “I shouldn’t need support because I survived”
- “I don’t know how to carry both grief and gratitude”
- “I feel guilty for moving forward”
- “I feel disconnected from people who weren’t there”
- “Part of me feels stuck in that day”
Participants are welcome whether these feelings are recent, ongoing, or difficult to put into words. Sharing personal experiences is always optional, and individuals are encouraged to participate at their own comfort level.
