Survivor Storytellers Group Meeting
Are you a survivor of domestic abuse or sex trafficking who is interested in sharing your story with the world? This group is for survivors who want to learn how to share their story in the safest way for them. Some people may be interested in public speaking. Some may want to write poetry. Some may want to write a memoir. This group is for any of those options (and more!). We strive to make this group a safe, trauma-informed space, free of any added pressure. Sharing your story is always up to you; we're just there to help.
Monthly meetings usually include writing prompts, reading ideas, and some ideas of how to craft a good story. Meetings are facilitated by Safe Voices staff members who have been fully trained in advocacy and also have expertise in the areas of writing and storytelling. Meetings also have a Safe Voices advocate available if at any time you need to step out and process something that came up for you during your work.
We meet on the 4th Thursday of each month, and registration is required. Registration is FREE.
