About this Event
The position of Administrative Assistant to the Head of School or Division Head is a unique, complicated, and demanding one, requiring a high degree of professionalism as well as a complex combination of exceptional interpersonal skills, technology know-how, and the ability to manage and track several projects and events simultaneously.
While the administrative support role requires maintaining a high level of confidentiality, those in it can feel isolated from others in the school. This program offers a small, confidential, and welcoming environment designed to foster connections, learning, support, and dialogue with peers who share similar experiences and challenges.
We will pay attention to the continuously changing demands of our roles. Along with guest speakers and readings, we will incorporate time to problem solve, share know-how and resources, request practical feedback or suggestions, or just simply laugh about our jobs.
This year's ongoing program will be in person and consist of three 5-hour workshops with a different theme for each session. This year we are adding two - 1 hour remote check-ins between sessions. Whether you are new to the position or a veteran, a space for sharing ideas and support will be created. Our first meeting will allow time to reacquaint or get to know one another. We will also frame the year together, as meetings will be tailored to the needs and interests of our current participants. Topics may include skills building, self-advocacy, delegation, tech resources, salary negotiation and self-care.
AUDIENCE
This program is for executive assistants, administrative assistants, and anyone serving in a support role at a school.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Life happens. We understand that there will be times when you cannot attend a workshop that you have registered and paid for.
Registration may be transferred to a different person up to 7 days before a session. However refunds will not be given, and a session missed for any reason will not be refunded.
Below we have outlined our cancellation and refund policy, which we have in place to ensure the most accurate numbers when we secure well in advance locations, catering, and facilitators. Thank you for understanding.
For our ongoing programs or one-day intensives, refunds are available (less a $50 processing fee) up to 22 days before the scheduled starting date. We are unable to provide refunds for cancellations made 21 days or less prior to the first day of a workshop. A missed session that is part of an ongoing program is non-refundable and non-transferrable. For our summer institutes refunds are available (less a $50 processing fee) up to 30 days before the scheduled starting date. We are unable to provide refunds for cancellations made 29 days or less prior to the first day of a summer institute.
