Sunrise Prayer Walk 🌅
Walk. Pray. Listen. Connect.
Over the past year, my own journey has taken me somewhere I never expected - towards faith and ultimately towards Jesus.
And one thing I've realised along the way is that there can be quite a big gap between feeling a pull towards something deeper and actually knowing what to do with it.
Walking into a church can feel like a huge step. Prayer can feel intimidating when you don't know how to pray. Sometimes you don't even know exactly what you believe yet - you just know that something in you is searching.
I know that feeling because I've been there.
And that's really where the idea for Sunrise Prayer Walk came from.
This isn't about belonging to a particular church. It isn't about having all the answers. And you absolutely don't need to consider yourself a "religious person" to come.
It's simply an opportunity to step away from the noise for a little while, get outside in nature, slow down and create some space for something more.
We'll meet at Hartsholme Country Park before sunrise and begin walking together as the morning moves from darkness into light.
There'll be some gentle guided prayer and reflection, time to notice and appreciate the creation around us, a period of walking in silence, and opportunities to connect and share with others.
And there is zero expectation for you to perform or participate in anything you're uncomfortable with.
You won't be asked to pray aloud.
You won't be put on the spot.
You don't have to share anything.
You don't need to know the Bible.
You don't even need to know how to pray.
You can simply come, walk, listen and receive.
Whether you've followed Jesus for decades, haven't stepped inside a church for years, are beginning to explore faith, aren't quite sure what you believe, or simply feel curious about something deeper - you are welcome.
This is about creating a peaceful, open space where people can come together, be present, experience creation, connect with one another and make a little room for God.
Maybe you'll come away having experienced something profound.
Maybe you'll simply have had a beautiful early-morning walk with some lovely people.
There's no required outcome.
Just come as you are. 🌅
