Decorate a mini Madeira cake as a flower pot, make a sunflower with leaves, a little ladybird - so many charming details & skills.
We will bake you a yummy Madeira cake. You will learn (under the guidance of Annabelle) how to:
- ice the cake to look like a flower pot. (Including top tips on how to use sugarpaste without cracks, lumps or bumps)
- pipe buttercream (this is under the 'soil')
- add the chocolate 'soil' to your cake (without it going everywhere!)
- marble icings
- ice the board and use a texture mat to create cobblestone
- make a wired sunflower including realistic centre
- make wired leaves, including veining detail
- make a ladybird from sugar
- make 'raindrops'
- use dust colours to best effect and how to apply glaze
