Idea to Object: A Laser Cutting Experience

Turn your ideas into reality with our full-day, hands-on laser cutting workshop at Maidstone Hackspace. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced maker, this small-group course will give you the skills and confidence to design, cut, and assemble your own custom project – and take it home the same day.

• Introduction & Demonstration (1 hr): Explore the tools, materials, and software used in laser cutting.

• Design Your Project (up to 3 hrs): With expert guidance, develop your own design using our professional laptops and software.

• Cut, Decorate & Assemble (2 hrs): Bring your project to life on our laser cutters and add finishing touches.

• Future Skills (40 mins): Learn how to apply your new skills to future projects.

• Your Project, Your Way: Create something unique – from décor and gifts to statement art pieces.
• Small Classes: Two instructors for every four participants ensure plenty of one-to-one support.
• Everything Included: Materials, equipment, and laptops with design software are provided.
• Take Home Your Work: Every participant leaves with a completed piece.

Please note: The workshop takes place on the third floor of the Maidstone Community Support Centre, which currently has no lift access.
