Join us on select Sunday mornings this fall and winter at the tea bar for a guided tasting from our collection of more than 150 rare and artisan teas.

Each session will explore a small selection of teas through a particular theme, region, style or tradition. We’ll taste the teas side by side, talk about where they come from and how they’re made, and learn how things like cultivar, growing conditions, processing and brewing can completely change what ends up in your cup.

These tastings are meant to be relaxed and approachable. You don’t need to know anything about tea to join us. Come curious, taste something you may never have tried before, ask questions and spend a slow Sunday morning learning a little more about tea.

What to Expect

Each tasting will be approximately 60–75 minutes and include:

• A guided tasting of 4–6 teas
• An introduction to the region, producers and traditions behind them
• A look at the dry and steeped leaves
• Conversation around aroma, flavour, texture and finish
• An introduction to brewing techniques and how they affect the cup
• Time for questions, conversation and revisiting your favourites
• The opportunity to purchase featured teas to take home

Each Sunday, Something Different

With more than 150 teas behind the bar, each tasting can explore a different corner of the tea world. Some weeks might focus on one style or region, while others might compare teas that are completely different from one another.

Possible tastings could include An Introduction to Pu-erh, Exploring Oolongs, Differentiating Between Japanese Green Teas, The World of Black Teas, Exploring White Tea or even a blind tasting where we let the cup speak for itself.
