For October's assembly, we will be welcoming back legendary local artist and fantastic friend of Sunday Assembly, Nick Sayers! Nick is going to be be talking about a recent environmental art project of his; making fractal sand castles in Samarkand, inspired by his visit to the haunting landscape of, and around, the Aral Sea. Entry is completely FREE but we will be asking for donations towards the hire of the school and for our charity of the month, coinciding with Baby Loss Awareness Week: Sands.
As well as all that, we'll be getting suitably raucous with our usual singalong songs, poetry, and there will be generous portions of tea*, cake** and friendly chit-chat immediately afterwards - so you can take time to make new friends and/or catch up with old ones.
*Please bring a reusable mug for the tea or coffee
**If you're a keen baker, please please PLEASE bring cake/brownies/your great bake-off practice pieces!
