🏔 Event OverviewJoin us for a beautiful circular walk through woodland, reservoirs, and open moorland on the edge of the Peak District. This route takes in the peaceful Rivelin Valley, the stunning Wyming Brook, and the scenic Redmires Reservoirs — offering a mix of terrain and some of the best views around Sheffield.
A perfect social hike to connect, reset, and get outdoors together.

Start/Finish: Circular route from Redmires area

Distance: 8.7 miles / 14 km
Elevation Gain: ~400 m

Difficulty: Moderate
Facilities: The car park is free, however there are no toilets at the start / finish of this route, the pub we stop at is approx. 1km before the end of the route.
🗺 Route Overview
This circular route begins near the Redmires Reservoirs, heading through woodland and open moorland before dropping into the Rivelin Valley. The route then climbs through the stunning Wyming Brook Nature Reserve before returning via scenic trails around the reservoirs.
A varied and rewarding walk with a great mix of terrain and views throughout.
