Summer Weaving Workshop with Swandering Studios

Escape the summer heat and spend a relaxing, creative afternoon learning the art of weaving! In this 3-hour, hands-on workshop, participants will be introduced to frame loom weaving while creating their own summer-inspired textile piece.
During the class, you'll design and weave a small wall hanging that reflects their summer. You'll learn foundational weaving techniques including warping, basic weaving, adding texture, and finishing a piece.
All materials are provided, including frame looms, yarns in a variety of colors and textures (cotton, wool, and specialty fibers), and weaving tools. By the end of the workshop, you will take home their completed woven wall hanging along with the skills and confidence to continue exploring weaving on your own.
This workshop is beginner-friendly—no prior experience is necessary. It’s perfect for anyone looking to try something new, unwind creatively, or make a unique handmade piece.
