Join artist, Jessica Emsley, for a creative art walk and picnic. Together, we’ll carry out a circular walk from Staveley, pausing to try different drawing techniques, and spending an extended period of time at Gurnal Dubs for a picnic and slower moment of drawing.
Participants are encouraged to bring along savoury food for a pot-luck style picnic; vegan gf cake will be provided. Upon finishing our picnic, we’ll take a leisurely walk back into Staveley along the river, pausing for a reflective moment of drawing along the way.
Price £20. If you wish to be given materials at the start of the walk (pocket sketchbook, pencil, pastel and charcoal) please let me know and bring an additional £6 on the day.
What to bring? Appropriate clothes and footwear, waterproofs in case of rain, sun protection in case of sun/ high temperatures, and plenty of water.
What level of fitness is requires? A reasonable level of fitness is required as we’ll be making a (slow paced) circular walk of 9km up to Gurnal Dubs and back into Staveley which involves uneven ground and 300m height gain. The walk also involves several styles. Unfortunately, this means the event cannot be wheelchair accessible. It is down to individuals’ own decision as to their ability to participate; any questions are welcome.
