Workshop Overview

• The Project: A washable water bottle holder.
• Duration: 3 hours of step-by-step guidance.
• Who it is for: Adult-and-child pairs (ages 10+).
• The Setup: The adult and child will each have a dedicated sewing machine and sew side by side, making a water bottle holder each.

Our 3-Hour Parent & Child Sewing session is strictly limited to a small group of just 6 people. You'll get plenty of dedicated, step-by-step help in a calm and creative space.

What you and your young person will learn:

• Sewing machine safety: Thread and operate a sewing machine safely.
• Seam precision: Pin fabrics and sew an accurate seam allowance.
• Structural support: Apply iron-on interfacing to make your holder sturdy.
• Strap attachment: Securely anchor adjustable straps to withstand daily use.
• Optional professional finishing: Create a neat, topstitched hem around the top rim.
• Project completion: Take home two finished water bottle holders.

Event Details

Class Size: Maximum 6 participants for plenty of individual help.

Skill Level: Any skill level including absolute beginners

What is Included: All tools, machines, fabric and tuition and simple refreshments

Location: Ed’s Workshop, Sheffield City Centre

Price: £99 per adult and child pair (plus eventbrite fees)

An adult and child pair can bring up to one extra child (aged 10+) for £49. For this option please email [email protected] directly to check availablity before booking your pair. To ensure we can supervise everyone safely, all children present in the studio must be booked onto the workshop.

Date: We’ll be running the same session three times:

· Thursday 30th July 9.30am – 12.30pm

· Thursday 13th August 9.30am – 12.30pm

· Thursday 20th August 9.30am – 12.30pm
