Summer of Play at Packwood

This summer, discover a world of adventure, imagination and outdoor fun at Packwood with the National Trust’s Summer of Play from 18 July - 31 August.
Celebrating play in all its forms, Summer of Play is packed with hands-on experiences and family-friendly activities designed to spark creativity, encourage exploration and inspire adventure.
Whether you’re climbing, balancing, discovering or simply relaxing in nature, there’s something for every kind of explorer.
Explore the Welly Walk Step into a woodland dream and let your imagination lead the way through our magical Welly Walk play zones.
• Wander through beautiful woodland paths as you:
• Spot hidden fairy houses tucked among the trees
• Discover nature-inspired musical instruments, including wooden xylophones
• Explore different natural textures on our seasonal nature board
• Test your balance on interlinked balance beams and wooden stepping stones
• Enjoy imaginative play with a wooden play horse and woodland seating areas
Take time to pause beneath the trees in our shady picnic spot, where families can relax and listen to birdsong. A bird song identifier table will help young explorers discover the sounds of the woodland around them.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome to join in the Summer of Play fun, on the Welly Walk.
