Summer Forest Walks: Tuesday Evenings
About this Event
The forest waits for you. A place to set down the day's accumulations—the emails, the meetings, the demands, the small exhaustions—and remember what it feels like to be alive in your own body, in your own senses, in the presence of growing things and the people gathering beside you.
This is a weekly practice, designed for consistency and belonging. You don't need to commit to every Tuesday—come when you can. But the magic of this practice is in repetition: returning to the same forest, the same time, the same community, week after week.
What to Expect
- Guided sensory exploration
- Slow walking with extended pauses
- Moments of individual reflection and community connection
- Stories, sharing, and tea
We acknowledge that we gather on the traditional territories of the Squamish Nation (Skwxwú7mesh), the Tsleil-Waututh Nation (Snuneymuxw), and the Musqueam First Nation, whose peoples have tended these lands since time immemorial. Stanley Park remains part of their unceded territory. The forest we walk in, the water we drink, the air we breathe—all are part of Coast Salish stewardship and care. We commit to honoring the land in the name of Coast Salish.
