🚶 TRAIL TALES
Take a self-guided hike starting at the west trailhead, where a story unfolds along the trail. This week’s featured tale is “Mushrooms Know: Wisdom from Our Friends the Fungi” by Kallie George—read as you wander and explore nature at your own pace.
🔧 TINKERS – Drop in during open hours for ever‑changing, hands‑on, self‑led activities.
📖 TALES – Enjoy our weekly story read aloud on Mondays at 2 PM by Door County Librarian Beth Lokken.
🎤 TALKS – A specialist brings each weekly theme to life on Thursdays at 2 PM. On August 6, step into the fascinating and often mysterious world of fungi with Mike Marit of the Door Peninsula Mushroom Club! This engaging program will introduce participants to the incredible diversity of mushrooms found in Door County and the vital roles they play in our local ecosystems.
🌼 JOURNEYS WITH JOAN – Continue summer nature exploration with Naturalist Joan Wilkie, Tuesdays at 1 PM. On August 4, we’ll explore how glacial ice has transformed our landscapes. Suitable for all ages.
There’s something new each week—come often and experience it all! Free and open to the public. Drop in—registration not required.
