Goals of theStroke Survivor Support Group
1. Create a supportive community. Provide opportunities for stroke survivors, their families, and caregivers to meet, share experiences, and discuss concerns, frustrations, and personal goals.
2. Promote understanding of recovery. Encourage better awareness of stroke recovery and rehabilitation, helping members navigate the healing process with knowledge and confidence.
3. Encourage healthy living. Share information on lifestyle choices that support recovery, including nutrition, exercise, and overall wellness habits.
4. Offer a safe space. Provide a welcoming environment where survivors, families, and caregivers can openly express their fears, challenges, and hopes.
5. Connect with community resources. Offer guidance on local support programs and services available to stroke survivors and their families.
