ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Absurdly Well is a Washington, DC-based street artist whose work lives at the intersection of public space, free speech, and political commentary. Best known for large-scale wheat-paste installations, posters, and stencils, he transforms walls into conversations, using art to challenge power, spark dialogue, and reclaim the streets as a canvas for public expression.
Working full-time as an artist, Absurdly Well has spent years developing his practice and has led more than 20 wheat-paste workshops, teaching others the techniques, materials, and legal framework behind the medium. His work has reached millions online while remaining deeply rooted in the streets of Washington, DC.
Whether he’s installing a new piece before sunrise or speaking to a room full of aspiring artists, his goal is the same: to show that art doesn’t have to live inside a gallery to make an impact.
