Story Time with Ms. Brittany

What to expect: Come for this special story time at Arabia as we connect literature with nature and some animals that make their home at the Nature Preserve. We will gather in the Nature Center for check in and introductions before heading to the outdoor classroom right next to the Nature Center. Ms. Brittany will introduce and read her book, then Ranger Rachel will lead an interactive nature-centered activity.

Program leader: Your guide will be Ranger Rachel Roberts, the DeKalb County Park Naturalist at Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve.

Where to meet: Find Ranger Rachel in the Nature Center at 3787 Klondike Rd.

What to bring: Wear comfortable footwear, dress for the weather, and bring a refillable water bottle. There will be seating around the firepit, but if you'd like to bring your own folding chair, you're welcome to.

Restrooms: Public restrooms are available in the parking lot. Look for a brown building with red doors.

Recommended ages: This program content is designed for children and their parent/guardian, but all ages are welcome.

Dogs: This program is NOT appropriate for dogs, so please leave your pup at home.

Weather contingency: This program will be held indoors if there is rain or other inclement weather.

Walking distance: Less than a quarter mile

Exposure: The outdoor classroom is completely shaded.
