Story Stitch Summer 2026
In the spirit of deepening our connections with neighbors, the Path of Grace ABIDE (Accessibility, Belonging, Inclusion, Diversity and Equity) team invites you to participate in Story Stitch at Path of Grace: Deepening our Connections with Neighbors.
On Tuesday, July 7, at 5:30 pm, we will share a light meal, and then engage with 4-5 Path of Grace 'neighbors', those who are new to us and those who have been in our lives for a while, to play Story Stitch, a game that involves sharing our stories and hearing other's stories.
The game involves each person selecting a card with a question they answer by telling a story. There are varying levels of disclosure represented by the questions asked on the cards; you can choose one that is comfortable for you. As you share your story, others mindfully and empathetically listen. After completing your story, other players can use one of their four story stitch cards to 'stitch' or connect their own experience to your story, or ask you a question.
Players must use their cards wisely. Once your stitch cards are gone, they're gone; you may only listen until the game is over. This game is more about listening for understanding and empathy than speaking!
We have room for 30 people for the July 7th Story Stitch at Path of Grace: Deepening our Connections with Neighbors event.
Please sign up by Sunday, July 5, so that we can plan for food and the game. We look forward to sharing this exciting and meaningful experience with you! Sign up is available at the Welcome Center or at https://ttsu.me/storystitch26
