WORKSHOPS: SONGS & TRADITIONS OF IVANA KUPALA
Polyphony • Ritual Songs • Breath • Resonance
In this immersive workshop led by Inna Kovtun we will:
* Learn authentic Ukrainian vocal style and folk ornamentation
* Experience the power of polyphonic singing
* Explore Ivana Kupala ritual songs, dances, and traditions
* Discover how breath, resonance, and natural voice create vocal freedom, �emotional connection, and inner balance
* These workshops are offered in ENGLISH and UKRAINIAN!
* No singing experience is necessary!
WHEN:
FRIDAY, JUNE 19 at 7PM-9PM:
* We will sing, learn dances and talk about Kupala traditions
SATURDAY, JUNE 20 at 11am-2PM
* We will explore folk dramas performed in Ukraine on Ivana Kupala that not only preserve but make it a living tradition, and we will sing and dance! �

ABOUT INNA KOVTUN: INNA KOVTUN is a folklorist and ethnographer, a researcher and collector �of folklore traditions, a performer, and an educator. She is the highly regarded musical and artistic �director of the “Rozhanytsya” folk ensemble based in Kyiv, the lead vocalist of the international project “EDK”, and the lead singer of the ethno-rock band “Astarta”. Inna is also the Deputy General Director �of the Kyiv Municipal Brass Orchestra. She has performed and given workshops all around the world.

На цьому захопливому майстер-класі під керівництвом Інни Ковтун ми:
* Вивчимо автентичний український вокальний стиль та його народне оздоблення
* Відчуємо силу поліфонічного співу
* Дослідимо ритуальні пісні, танці та традиції Івана Купала
* Відкриємо, як дихання, резонанс та природний голос що створює вокальну свободу, емоційний зв'язок та внутрішню рівновагу
* Обидва майстер-класи пропонуються АНГЛІЙСЬКОЮ ТА УКРАЇНСЬКОЮ МОВАМИ!
* Досвід співу не потрібен!
КОЛИ:
П'ЯТНИЦЯ, 19 ЧЕРВНЯ, з 19:00 до 21:00:
* Ми співатимемо, вивчатимемо танці та розповімо про купальські традиції
СУБОТА, 20 ЧЕРВНЯ, з 11:00 до 14:00
* Ми дослідимо народні звичаї , що виконуються в Україні на Івана Купала, які не лише зберігають, а й роблять цю традицію живою, а також співатимемо та танцюватимемо разом!
ВАРТІСТЬ: Приймаються пожертви
ПРО ІННУ КОВТУН: ІННА КОВТУН — фольклористка та етнограф, дослідниця та колекціонерка фольклорних традицій, виконавиця та педагогиня. Вона є високоповажним музичним та художнім керівником народного ансамблю «Рожаниця» у Києві, головною вокалісткою міжнародного проекту «EDK» та головною вокалісткою етно-рок гурту «Астарта». Інна також є заступницею генерального директора Київського муніципального духового оркестру. Вона виступала та проводила майстер-класи по всьому світу.
