Stories from the East 话东方故事 - GAS First Friday Fling (FFF)

Join us in person for a vibrant evening where East meets West through story, laughter, and shared discovery. Hosted by the Grampian Association of Storytellers in partnership with the Confucius Institute at the University of Aberdeen, this special FFF celebrates the rich storytelling traditions of the East — from ancient wisdom tales to contemporary voices.

Bring a story in Mandarin (with English translation), in English, or simply come ready to listen and be transported. As we move from Chinese New Year into the season of renewal, expect themes of hope, light, and new beginnings.
