Stoneware bisques are made from a type of clay that is fired at a higher temperature. They are highly durable and are oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe.🍽️ What you’ll create:
A beautifully glazed stoneware plate featuring flowing, radial designs—each piece completely unique and full of movement.
🖌️ Techniques you’ll explore:
This workshop focuses on dynamic glaze application and reactive effects:
Layering specialty glazes that interact and flow during firing
Radial pull techniques to create those signature burst-like patterns
Dropping, dragging & feathering glazes to form intricate lines and cells
Color blending & glaze reactions that produce unexpected, beautiful variations
Learning how the kiln transforms your piece, creating depth, texture, and glossy finishes
