Sunday January 26, 2-5 pmStone Soup, Winnipeg's long-running open storytelling circle, is meeting on the fourth Sunday afternoon of every month, 2-5 pm, at 700 Jefferson Avenue (just west of Sinclair).
If you like to listen to stories, or tell stories, you are warmly invited. Folktales, myths, personal experiences, jokes, narrative ballads -- all kinds of stories are welcome as long as they are told (not read aloud).
This is a friendly and welcoming gathering; please spread the word.
Chevra Mishnayes congregation (700 Jefferson Ave. in north Winnipeg) is graciously hosting. We are asked not to bring any food or drink into the building, but tea and snacks will be provided.
Bus stops for the 71 and 18 are nearby. There is parking space behind and beside the building and on surrounding residential streets. There is a bike rack in front of the school across the street, or you can bring your bicycle into the building.
This is a free gathering, but we will pass a hat for voluntary thank-you donations to Chevra Mishnayes.
